Jurnal ICMES  Publication Ethics

 

Jurnal ICMES is published by ICMES Publisher (under management of the Indonesia Center for Middle East Studies - ICMES). ICMES is an independent research institution and it obtains the Decree of the Minister of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia No. AHU-0007496.AH.01.07.TAHUN 2017. Jurnal ICMES was first published in 2017.

 

This statement of the scientific code of ethics is a statement of the code of ethics of all parties involved in the publication process of this scientific journal, namely the publisher, editor, reviewers, and authors. The Code of Ethics for Scientific Publications essentially upholds three ethical values in publications, namely:

1. Neutrality, namely being free from conflicts of interest in managing publications.
2. Justice, namely giving authorship rights to those entitled to be authors.
3. Honesty, namely free from duplication, fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism in publications.

 

Publisher's Responsibilities

 

1. ICMES Publisher is responsible for publishing manuscripts that have gone through the review process (assessment and study), revision, editing, and layout by the rules for publishing scientific journals.

2. ICMES Publisher ensures academic freedom for editors and partners in carrying out their respective duties.

3. ICMES Publisher is responsible for maintaining privacy and protecting intellectual property copyright, as well as editorial freedom.

 

Editorial Responsibilities

 

 1. The editor of Jurnal ICMES is responsible for deciding which manuscripts are suitable for publication through editorial board meetings that refer to applicable legal requirements regarding defamation, copyright infringement, duplication, data fabrication, data falsification, and plagiarism.

 2.  In the process of reviewing and accepting manuscripts, the editor of Jurnal ICMES is based on the principle of equal treatment in making decisions to publish manuscripts without distinguishing between the race, gender, religion, ethnicity, nationality, or political ideology of the author.

3. The editor of Jurnal ICMES will not disclose any information about submitted manuscripts or manuscripts except with the author's permission.

4. The editor of Jurnal ICMES ICMES Journal research editors will not use unpublished manuscripts for their purposes and will be returned directly to the author.

The Reviewer Responsibilities

The Reviewer  of Jurnal ICMES assists editors in making editorial decisions on incoming manuscripts. The Reviewer  of Jurnal ICMES  responsibilities are:

1. The Reviewer  of Jurnal ICMES is responsible for the recommendations of the manuscripts it reviews.

2. The review of the manuscript is carried out objectively and is supported by clear arguments.

3. The Reviewer  of Jurnal ICMES is responsible for verifying quotations, references, duplication, data fabrication, data falsification, and plagiarism for the manuscripts it reviews.

4. The Reviewer  of Jurnal ICMES must always maintain the confidentiality of information and not use information from the manuscripts it reviews for personal gain/interest.

 

Author's Responsibilities

1.  Authors must honestly present manuscripts resulting from their thoughts or research without duplication, data fabrication, data falsification, and plagiarism.

2.  The author is responsible for the confirmation submitted for the manuscript that has been written.

3.  The author must indicate references to the opinions and works of other people cited

4.  Authors must write manuscripts ethically, honestly, and responsibly in accordance with applicable scientific writing regulations.

5. The author is okay with it if the manuscript undergoes editing during the review and layout process without changing the substance or main idea of the writing.
